ACE|SHIN generally finds it important that privacy is handled very accurately, including photos and visual material. Therefore, ACE|SHIN for all its activities, website and mailing lists a clear privacy policy in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation, in force since 25.05.18.
Also for her employees, volunteers, interns and adopters takes ACE|SHIN takes the protection of the data seriously and takes the appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. Ditto for photo and visual material. ACE|SHIN processes the personal data of employees, volunteers, interns and adopters, as well as the data of the dog/cat, in a secure database. ACE|SHIN uses this data only for its legitimate purposes and legitimate interest within the international framework within which ACE|SHIN operates out of Spain, including use in connection with the performance of this Agreement, follow-up, notifications about the ACE|SHINactivities, and to better assist you with questions. ACE|SHIN does not pass on personal data or photos to third parties, nor are those data commercialized, unless express agreement is given. The personal data will remain ACE|SHIN kept as long as the adoption agreement has effect and until 5 years after the dog/cat has died. Everyone has the right to inspect, correct and copy their data and will send a written request to this end, preferably by e-mail, to privacy@ace-charity.org with full name and address.
CONTENT PRIVACY STATEMENT ACE|SHIN
1. What processed for ACE|SHIN your information?
ACE|SHIN processes your data for the adoption administration, procedure and aftercare, reception administration, volunteer administration, donor administration, foster administration, informing about (fundraising) events, and to perform its other services. Personal data will not be provided to third parties for commercial or other purposes, unless expressly authorized and only when this is in the direct and legitimate interest of ACE|SHIN serves. As this is required for certain processing operations, certain data is transferred within the European Economic Area. Below we describe the different ways of processing data, how we deal with them, and indicate how you also continue to influence our processing of your data.
2. Website
In order to make anonymous statistics about the visits to our websites, we use cookies, so-called 'id and session cookies'. In doing so, the privacy of visitors is infringed as little as possible.
3. Use of cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website leaves on your computer, telephone or tablet. ACE|SHIN uses cookies to facilitate the use of the website. You can delete or refuse cookies via the web browser. It is important to know that, if you refuse cookies, it is possible that certain services of ACE|SHIN are no longer available to you. 4. Adoption fee and donations
If you adopt a dog (or cat) and/or if you register as a donor, including virtual adoptions, we will record the information you have provided in our administration. We use well-secured accounting for this, so that your data is kept safe. Donations via the website can be made via Mollie's payment platform. This is an extremely secure and professional payment platform. As a sympathizer you may be contacted about the work of ACE|SHIN† This may involve telephone contact, email or social media, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. We also record data when you indicate that you wish to receive the newsletter, or when you indicate that you wish to make a donation, when you purchase a product from our webshop or when you pay the adoption fee. In addition to online contact, it is also possible that you ACE|SHIN encountered during events.
5. Newsletter and Mailing Lists
We send our newsletter digitally. Our website keeps statistics of your acceptance, open, read, click and unsubscribe behavior that we can view. We use this to find out how we can better tailor our newsletter and website to the preferences of the user. You will only receive a digital newsletter if you are a volunteer or sympathizer or have indicated that you wish to receive the newsletter. When people sign up for (digital) newsletters by e-mail, their e-mail addresses are only used for that specific purpose. If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, you can unsubscribe at the bottom of the e-mail via the unsubscribe link or by e-mail via privacy@ace-charity.org.
6. Other Activities
For all other activities that ACE|SHIN organizes where the commitment of volunteers is requested, ACE|SHIN asks for as little personal data as possible and will never share this data with third parties, unless permission is given. Participation in activities involves admission. ACE will ensure that a clear privacy policy is followed.
7. Posting photo and/or visual material
ACE|SHIN also handles photo and image material with care, including on social media. Photos and/or videos are only used within our operation or made on our behalf. ACE|SHIN do not post photos and videos that could harm the people involved. Nor do we mention the full names with the photos and videos. You can request in writing at any time, preferably by e-mail and with full name and address, to remove certain photos and/or images via privacy@ace-charity.org.
8. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
You can distribute our messages via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using the share buttons. These buttons work by means of a code that is provided by the various social media, resp. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. This code places a cookie on your computer, telephone or tablet, among other things. If you do not accept cookies, this function will not work. They regularly make changes so that you can always read their privacy statement.
9. Security
All data that you share with us is protected by us with technical and organizational security measures. Our employees and volunteer coordinators, who communicate with each other by telephone, e-mail or whatsapp/sms, know that personal data must be treated confidentially and only have access to the database with an individual password and only act from the inbox concerned. Careful handling of personal data is part of our internal training. We also check other parties that we engage or would engage in to see whether they have taken sufficient security measures. Despite the security measures we have already taken and are constantly updating, things can go wrong. We have trained all our employees how to act in that case. If the protection of your data is at risk, we will inform you immediately. And of course we report a data breach, even if it does not pose an immediate threat to you, always immediately to the competent authority.
10. Inspection and adjustment and deletion of your data
Would you like to know which data ACE|SHIN of you? That is possible. Preferably by e-mail via a written request stating your full name and address to privacy@ace-charity.org. If your personal information contains inaccuracies, you can have this information changed. Would you like to have your data removed? This can also be done via a written request (preferably via e-mail) to privacy@ace-charity.org stating your full name and address. In all cases, ACE|SHIN respond to your request within four weeks.
11. GDPR and Complaints Handling
The rules on protecting your personal data are laid down in European regulations, the General Data Protection Regulation. For a complaint about our treatment of your privacy, you can contact our ombudsman service: ombudsdienst@ace-chartity.org stating your full name and address. If this does not provide a satisfactory solution, you can submit a complaint to the Spanish Data Protection Agency, the relevant privacy authority.
12. Changes
ACE|SHIN will adjust its privacy statement as required by law or as appropriate (e.g. in the event of a change in the processing of personal data). If you arranged it ACE|SHIN PRIVACY STATEMENT, displayed in this text, check to make sure you have the latest version.
